Accompanied by his wife, Angélica Rivera de Peña, President Enrique Peña Nieto praised the important work performed by Queen Letizia of Spain as Honorary President of the Spanish Cancer Association, a position she assumed in September 2010.
He declared that Queen Letizia’s participation in the World Cancer Leaders Summit reflects her commitment to this cause and will increase the visibility of the issue.
- Mexico is the first country in Latin America to host the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit, to be held on November 13 and 14.
- Queen Letizia will lead the closing ceremony.
