Beginning on April 1, the online pre-registration system for Colombian travelers to Mexico will be operational. This comes after the meeting held in Bogotá, Colombia on January 25, 2022, between Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and the Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Marta Lucía Ramírez, and subsequent agreements between the foreign ministries of both countries and the National Migration Institute (INM).
The INM online pre-registration system is for Colombians traveling to Mexico by air. It consists of a form that, when completed, provides a QR code and Mexico's Multiple Migration Form (FMM). Both documents must be printed and presented to immigration agents upon arrival in Mexico.
The travel authorization form is now available at: https://www.inm.gob.mx/spublic/portal/inmex.html.
The pre-registration system gives Colombian travelers the opportunity to state the purpose of the trip and provide the information on their travel documents in advance, making it quicker and safer to travel between Mexico and Colombia.
