In keeping with the Mexican government's policy of international solidarity, two Navy ships will sail from Veracruz to Cuba on Sunday, July 25 with medical supplies and food.  

The shipment includes medical supplies such as syringes, 9500-liter T Size oxygen cylinders and facemasks destined for the hospital system and emergency healthcare.  

The food assistance consists of items such as powdered milk, beans, flour, canned tuna fish, cooking oil and diesel fuel.  

Next Tuesday, July 27, the Mexican government, with the assistance of the Mexican Armed Forces, will send international cooperation to Guatemala in the form of 150,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to be given as second doses.

The Mexican government reiterates its commitment to continuing to engage in international cooperation and to provide humanitarian assistance to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean to combat the toll of the pandemic.
