On behalf of the federal government, the Ministries of the Interior and Foreign Affairs report that the National Institute of Migration (INM), the Federal Police and Mexico's consulates are assisting all foreigners who seek to enter national territory in an orderly and safe fashion.

In this context, we reiterate the commitment to accept applications from the Honduran migrants who seek to enter Mexico and to process them in accordance with Mexican law and with the agreements reached with them in the past few days.

The Federal Migration Agents (FMA) have continued to inform the foreigners about the necessary procedures for entering Mexico legally. They are being accompanied in this process by the Fifth Visitorship of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), which is corroborating the actions of the FMA and the Federal Police.

We reiterate that the Federal Police and INM officials are unarmed. Therefore, any type of violence against them will break the agreements reached in the past few days.

INM personnel in Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas are assisting the migrants and processing their entry applications. They are also helping vulnerable individuals such as women, the elderly and children who require assistance.

The Mexican government reiterates that, through the Federal Police and the National Institute of Migration, it will continue to process applications for the orderly entry of Central Americans, while respecting their human right
