The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that the Mexican government has continued to publicize the availability and location of vaccination sites for the Mexican community in the U.S. and Canada, with the help of local health authorities.  This is being done at the consulates with the help of their Health Windows (Ventanillas de Salud).

In the United States, all 50 consulates are engaged in preventive actions and vaccinations for COVID-19, in coordination and collaboration with the U.S. authorities and local partners.

Consulates that have been vaccination sites for Mexican citizens in the United States are:  Albuquerque, Atlanta, Boise, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Douglas, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Omaha, Orlando, Raleigh, Sacramento, Saint Paul, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Houston, and Phoenix. The consulates general in Sacramento and San Diego are permanent vaccination sites.

Consulates that have vaccinated their staff are: Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Douglas, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Laredo, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Orlando, Phoenix, Saint Paul, San José, Tucson and Washington.

In the last week, farmworkers have been vaccinated with the help of the consulates in Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando and Saint Paul.

In addition, beginning today, a pilot program managed by the Ontario Ministries of Health and Agriculture will enable Mexicans participating in the Mexico-Canada Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program (SAWP) to receive the COVID-19 vaccine upon arrival at the Toronto Pearson International Airport. This program will remain in operation for the next few months, as part of phase II of the Ontario vaccination plan, which includes essential workers.  Vaccinations have similarly started in British Columbia and Quebec, with the participation of the consulates general in Vancouver and Montreal.

The Foreign Ministry reaffirms its commitment to contributing to universal, timely and equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine, and to ensuring access to COVID-19 vaccines for its citizens abroad, through its consular network.
