• In a joint effort between the Foreign Ministry and local governments, through the Mexican Association of Economic Development Secretaries (Amsde), a Mexico Pavilion was inaugurated at Hannover Messe 2023 fair.

Today, the Mexico Pavilion was officially inaugurated at the Hannover Messe 2023 industrial technology trade show, marking the return of a Mexican delegation to this international event.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the Mexican Association of Economic Development Secretaries (Asmde) and the Foreign Ministry's area for Global Economic Promotion, the country brand is showcased in a single pavilion for the first time since 2019.

At the inauguration, Margarita Alcántara, Director General of Global Economic Promotion, said, on behalf of Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and Undersecretary Martha Delgado, that the Foreign Ministry is committed to contributing to the efforts taken to attract investment to Mexico.

The Hannover Messe, which will conclude on Friday, April 21, was attended by Governors Samuel García, from Nuevo León, and Ricardo Gallardo, from San Luis Potosí; in addition to Marco Antonio del Prete, Querétaro Economic Development Secretary and President of the Amsde Board of Directors. Also present were undersecretaries from the states of Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tabasco and Tamaulipas.  The business sector was represented by Business Coordinating Council President Francisco Cervantes. The Foreign Ministry was represented by Mexico's ambassador to Germany, Francisco Quiroga.

Hannover Messe is the largest industrial trade show in the world, with the participation of about 6,000 exhibitors and more than 200,000 visitors. This year, the fair focused on AI and machine learning, carbon-neutral production, energy management, hydrogen and fuel cells, and Industry 4.0, the technological and digital optimization of industries.
