The Foreign Ministry reports that the Mexican government welcomes and is very encouraged by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's announcement that as of April 21, 2018 it has suspended its nuclear program and intercontinental ballistic missile tests.
Mexico encourages a renewal of the inter-Korean dialogue, with the support of all countries with ties in the region, that leads to the total denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. The international community must be watchful until stability and peace is ensured in the region and progress is made towards a total elimination of nuclear weapons.
