• Has an agreement for the expansion of its facilities.
  • Is internationally recognized for its involvement with institutions such as the American Cancer Society (ASCO), the International Union against Cancer (UICC), the MD Anderson Cancer Center and the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, U.S.
  • Is the coordinator of 25 State Cancer Centers (CEC), which is offered a unique opportunity to design programs and common strategies to better control the national character cancer and achieve national impact by improving prevention and early detection reducing morbidity and mortality of cancer in Mexico.
  • It has an information center (INFOCANCER) for cancer patients, their families and the public. It aims to provide simple and accessible information to the public about cancer.

The INCan coordinates the development of the National Cancer Control Program (NCCP), which includes five main themes:

  • Cancer Prevention and Early Detection.
  • Oncological guidelines for the 10 most common cancers in Mexico.
  • Palliative Care.
  • Medical infrastructure and Administration Medical Services.
  • Tobacco Control.
