President Enrique Peña Nieto led the Commemoration of Navy Day and the 50th anniversary of the Navy Plan.
For Mexico’s Armed Forces, being a single corps is what gives them a sense of cohesion and unity and enables them to serve the country with honor, duty, loyalty and patriotism.
The president thanked and congratulated the Mexican marines on their vocation of service to the country.
This year’s Navy Day celebration has special significance because it is part of the 50th Anniversary of the Navy Plan, the ultimate expression of solidarity, fraternity and generosity of this institution.

In the event of earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and landslides, members of the armed forces are the first to arrive and the last to leave.
They are present from the moment the emergency starts, through the stages of cleaning up and the protection of families’ assets to reconstruction.
