President Enrique Peña Nieto participated in the First Session of Heads
of State and Government at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, where
he took the opportunity to stress that
“At Cop21, we will decide the kind of world we wish
to live in and the quality of life we want for the 21st century.
Likewise, he said that we
must unite to move towards low-carbon economies and building a more resilient
world. He said that Mexico was the first developing country to submit its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution to the United Nations.
During his participation, he took the opportunity to inform the French people
and government of Mexicans’ support and solidarity with the families of those
killed in the recent events.
During Cop21, the community of nations will take part in one of the most
important United Nations initiatives to reaffirm their commitment to an
effective, fair and courageous agreement to tackle climate change.
