During his participation in the dialogue between the leaders of the Asia - Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) and the Pacific Alliance (AP), President Enrique Peña Nieto proposed, on behalf of Mexico, institutionalizing dialogue between the two mechanisms through the establishment of a Working Group.
He said the intense commercial relationship could be strengthened through closer cooperation between APEC and the Pacific Alliance, with benefits for both mechanisms.
President Peña Nieto said there are at least three areas in which cooperation could be generated between the integration initiatives:
• participation of small and medium enterprises in global value chains
• regional economic integration
• human capital development
