There are an estimated two million people with epilepsy in Mexico, in most cases the main symptom is convulsion and occurs most often during childhood and in adults over 60 years.

Anyone can suffer epilepsy regardless of his or her social status or age.

It is characterized by crisis due to disorderly and excessive neuronal discharges.

It is mainly due to genetic or hereditary reasons, but also secondary issues such as neurocysticercosis, perinatal injury, a cerebral vascular event, head trauma or unknown situations.

Has consequences of neurological, mental, psychological and social, that prevails as a condition in which it stigmatizes and discriminates.

Epilepsy has no cure short term, but attacks can be controlled in intensity and frequency.
