The Statesman Award was presented to the Mexican president for the structural changes that have encouraged Mexico-United States relations,in the context of the World Leadership Forum 2016, organized by the Foreign Policy Association.
The award presented to President Peña Nieto is conferred on heads of state or government who work to improve responsible international relations.
The Foreign Policy Association is one of the leading public forums in New York City on the matter, which enjoys great national and international visibility. It was founded in 1918.
