President Enrique Peña Nieto met today with Governor Elect of Tamaulipas Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, whom he congratulated on his victory in the June 5 elections.

At the meeting, held at the official residence of Los Pinos, President Peña Nieto and the governor elect of Tamaulipas talked about various aspects of the current situation of the state.

The president endorsed the government’s will and commitment to work together with the state authority of Tamaulipas, to promote actions to raise the levels of well-being in the state and strengthen its development.

For his part, García Cabeza de Vaca told President Peña Nieto of the various projects undertaken in his administration in various fields for the benefit of Tamaulipas.

He thanked the president for his willingness to support the efforts to be undertaken by during his tenure and expressed his commitment to working in conjunction with the government to meet the needs of the population of Tamaulipas.
