President Enrique Peña Nieto led the launch of the IMSS Digital Medical Appointments scheme.
With this tool, beneficiaries will now be able to make an appointment with their family doctor using their phones or tablets.
For the first time in the history of Mexico, more than one million formal jobs were created during the first eleven months of the year:
This brings the number of jobs created during the current administration to 2.6 million.
65 percent of the new jobs created during this administration earn over two minimum wages. In the previous six years only 30 percent of new jobs earned over two minimum wages.
A total of 86 percent of the jobs that have been created are permanent, up from 60 percent during the previous administration”.
He said that last November, 40,000 more jobs than the average number for November over the past ten years were created.
“Today we are creating more, better paid jobs to enhance the development of our country.

The benefits associated with having formal employment include the following:
- Having health insurance, work risk insurance and disability insurance.
- If you have a work accident, you can retire with a pension in the event you are unable to return to work.
- A retirement, unemployment or old age pension; and various social benefits (such as the institutions vacation and sports centers).
