The Foreign Ministry reports that President Enrique Peña Nieto will send the following appointments to the Senate for its consideration: Ambassador of Mexico to South Africa; Trinidad and Tobago; Algeria; Belgium, Luxembourg and as representative to the European Union; Haiti and Jamaica.

The appointments that will be sent to the Senate this week for its consideration are: 

Ana Luisa Fajer Flores, currently Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassy in the United States, to head the embassy in South Africa. A member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1993, she was promoted to minister in 2017. She has been Director General for North America; Director General for Africa and the Middle East; head of the consulate in Saint Paul, and an advisor on the Foreign Ministry's advisory staff.

Rosario Asela Molinero Molinero, currently Deputy Director General at the Matías Romero Institute, as ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago. A member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1990, she was promoted to minister in 2009. She has been an advisor to the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights; Deputy Director General for the United Nations; an advisor on the Foreign Ministry's advisory staff; and Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassy in Sweden.

Gabriel Rosenzweig Pichardo, currently Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassy in Italy, as ambassador to Algeria. A member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1986, he has held the rank of minister since 2001. He has been Director General for Europe, Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassies in the Netherlands and Spain, and coordinator of the bilateral section of Mexico's embassy in Belgium.

Mauricio Escanero Figueroa, currently Mexico's ambassador in South Africa, as ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg and representative to the European Union. A member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1982, he was promoted to ambassador in 2014.  Previously, he has been Mexico's Alternate Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); Alternate Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS); head of the consulate in Shanghai; and Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassy in China, among other posts.

Héctor Manuel Rodríguez Arellano, currently advisor to the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, as head of Mexico's embassy in Haiti. A member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1987, he was promoted to minister in 2011. He has served as Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassy in Turkey and as head of political affairs at the embassy in the United Kingdom.

Lastly, Juan José González Mijares, currently Mexico's ambassador in Algeria, as ambassador in Jamaica. He has been a member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1991 and was was promoted to ambassador in 2017. He has served as Deputy Director General of Human Rights and Democracy; Advisor to the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights; Deputy Director General of Regional Multilateral Economic Organizations; Advisor to the Undersecretary of Economic Relations and International Cooperation; and Deputy Chief of Mission at Mexico's embassy in Belgium.
