The Government of Mexico expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Agent Martínez and hopes the injured agent makes a swift recovery.
The Government of Mexico condemns violence and expresses its absolute willingness to collaborate with officials from the United States Department of Homeland Security if necessary.
On instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, Gerónimo Gutiérrez, will speak with the appropriate officials today to reiterate our condolences and extend the aforementioned offer of collaboration.
