The Foreign Ministry announces that a new passport office will open in Colima on October 28. It is located in the Sendera Shopping Center on Avenida Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado No. 271, Colonia Real Hacienda, Villa de Álvarez, CP 28978, Colima, Colima.
The new passport office will be able to schedule 800 appointments a day, seven days a week, from 08:00 to 20:00, which means an estimated average capacity of 288,000 appointments per year and improved delivery times for passports.
The new passport office has welcoming and comfortable spaces in an excellent location. It provides the following benefits:
- It makes passport services more accessible to the general public, as it is now centrally located in the city of Colima.
- Users will save transportation time.
- The office is new, functional, and low-cost for the Foreign Ministry.
- It has ample outdoor spaces.
- The user has access to recreational areas, various food options, banks, and social and business meeting areas.
- The location is secure and accessible. It is well communicated and has parking.
Due to its location, it will serve various municipalities within the state of Colima, in addition to the states of Jalisco and Michoacán.
Appointments can be scheduled at telephone number 55 893 24827 (CITAS) or online at: https://citas.sre.gob.mx. These are the only official ways to make appointments. There is no charge to make an appointment.
The public is reminded of the importance of avoiding fraud. Do not make any payments or deposits into personal accounts or at convenience stores for a passport appointment.
