As a follow-up to the August 3rd shooting that took place in El Paso, Texas, in which 8 Mexican nationals lost their lives and 8 others were injured, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico informs that 10 Mexican citizens filed a lawsuit against Walmart Inc. The Law Office of Lynn Coyle, PLLC, filed the lawsuit, in coordination with the Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso.

The objective of the lawsuit, filed in El Paso County, is to hold the company accountable for its failure to take reasonable and necessary steps to protect their customers from the attack in its Cielo Vista store in El Paso, Texas. By bringing these claims, Plaintiffs are not only pursuing justice for themselves, but also safety for the greater public.

It is important to underscore that as a result of the unfortunate passing of the prestigious Attorney Enrique Moreno, who was representing the interests of the Mexican victims of the shooting and their families who wished to do so, it was decided to seek the support of the recognized Law Office of Lynn Coyle. That law firm has a history of collaborating with the Law Office of Enrique Moreno, as the two firms share the same principles and values. The firm is also recognized by its commitment on the defense of the Mexican and Mexican-American community in El Paso.

The Government of Mexico will continue using all means available in order to prevent this type of incidents from happening again and to repair the harm suffered by the victims. Also, it reiterates its unwavering commitment to provide assistance and protection to all Mexican nationals living abroad, regardless of their immigration status.
