On behalf of the Mexican government, the Foreign Ministry categorically rejects the reports circulating that Mexico is working with other countries to affect the Venezuelan government.
Mexico respects international law and does not work with any country to the detriment of another. It has communicated its position on the situation in Venezuela very clearly in its statements and in the international forums in which it participates.
The Mexican government reiterates that it is wholly willing to support through diplomatic channels a peaceful and democratic solution to the serious crisis in Venezuela that fully respects the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people.
