The President of the Slovak Republic, Andrej Kiska, arrives in Mexico today for a State visit from November 21-23, during which he will meet with President Enrique Peña Nieto. His visit, the first of a Slovak president to Mexico, has a historical aspect.

The meeting between the two presidents will be an opportunity to forge a closer and more dynamic relationship in all areas.

President Kiska is accompanied by a delegation of business executives from the energy, automotive and telecommunications and innovation sectors interested in finding business opportunities in Mexico.

Legal agreements will be signed during his visit to promote trade and reciprocal investment, and to cooperate in sports, culture and youth-related activities.

President Kiska will also visit Monterrey, Nuevo León to explore possible business opportunities with the Slovak Republic.

Mexico and Slovakia established diplomatic relations on January 1, 1993.
