On behalf of the Mexican government, the Foreign Ministry takes note of the announced cancellation of the summit between the leaders of the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea scheduled for June 12 in Singapore.
We hope conditions exist in the near future to resume the dialogue between the two countries in the interest of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula and of peace and security in that region and in the world. We also hope for the continuation of the inter-Korean talks.
Mexico will continue to support any measure that leads to the peaceful resolution of disputes.
