The event, which was attended by over 80 entrepreneurs and businesswomen from the three countries, was organized by the Foreign Ministry in collaboration with ProMexico, the embassies of Canada and the United States in Mexico and the Women's Forum Mexico.The mission's goal is to boost women's economic engagement and their participation in the North American regional market.

Sessions were held on entrepreneurship ecosystems and the legalities of establishing businesses in Mexico, the United States and Canada. Other topics included the challenges to expanding women's access to financial tools and services and their participation in economic sectors such as technology and innovation, mining and automotive, among others.

In his remarks, Undersecretary Sada highlighted the Foreign Ministry's actions in the Mexican-U.S. Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council (MUSEIC). He also emphasized the ways in which Mexico works with the U.S. and Canadian governments to enhance women's economic empowerment and discussed the tools and opportunities that exist in the three countries to boost their development and business performance.

The trilateral mission is one of the commitments included in the Trilateral Memorandum of Understanding Promoting Women’s Entrepreneurship and the Growth of Women-Owned Enterprises in North America, signed by the three countries in June 2016 during the 8th North American Leaders’ Summit.
