At this morning's press conference led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard reported that Mexico will have received a total of 200 million vaccine doses in December, with 15.6 million vaccine doses arriving this month: 7.7 million from AstraZeneca and 7.9 from Pfizer BioNTech, which means that "we have the doses we need for the booster shots ordered by the President," he said.

The Foreign Secretary said that the contracts Mexico negotiated abroad to ensure a timely supply of vaccines are nearing their end.  The Sinovac contract ended in July, the CanSinoBio contract ended in November, and the AstraZeneca and Pfizer contracts will end in December.

Lastly, Secretary Ebrard said that Mexico presented the World Plan for Wellbeing at the G20 meeting in Jakarta and that it "was well received."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs conducts a foreign policy that prioritizes the health of the Mexican people, and it reaffirms its commitment to contributing to universal, timely and equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
