A Belgian economic mission will be in Mexico from February 15-22. It is led by HRH Princess Astrid, as representative of King Philippe, and includes federal and regional ministers and a delegation of about 200 business executives and academic representatives. They will take part in sectorial forums and business meetings in Mexico City and Monterrey.

The first official activity of the Princess and the ministerial delegation will be a meeting with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. This first meeting between the Belgian government and the new Mexican administration will make it possible to strengthen the bilateral dialogue, and find additional opportunities for trade and investment and areas in which to work together.

The size and composition of the business delegation is confirmation of a keen interest in the Mexican market and confidence in our economy. In order to achieve tangible benefits for both societies, trade and investment will be given impetus in strategic sectors such as healthcare technologies, port development and infrastructure, solutions for a sustainable future for our cities, and the agri-food industry.
