At the Mexico City International Airport, Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard welcomed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to Mexico for the High-Level Economic Dialogue (HLED), a meeting with President López Obrador and a working visit with the foreign secretary and other government officials.

Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a meeting with their delegations to discuss economic integration and cooperation, migration, security with an emphasis on arms trafficking, and multilateralism in the lead-up to the UN General Assembly.

The second Mexico-U.S. High-Level Economic Dialogue was held in the afternoon, with the participation of Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and Secretary Tatiana Clouthier for Mexico, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimundo for the U.S.

The dialogue included a discussion of cybersecurity, semiconductors and regional supply chains, and agreements were reached to make North America a more productive and competitive region.

Both the HLED and the parallel meetings are evidence of a respectful and productive relationship that gets results.
