• Secretary Ebrard meets with more than 15,000 supporters in Tijuana, agrees to promote and invest in the border.

Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard said today that Mexico will never allow a foreign military force to set foot in our territory.

"We support the statements made by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador yesterday," said Secretary Ebrard while in Tijuana. "No Mexican is going to allow a foreign military force to set foot in our territory and we say this in Tijuana, which is where our homeland begins."

The Foreign Secretary began his trip by meeting with Tijuana business executives. During the meeting, he said that the current situation, characterized by geopolitical tensions and nearshoring, favors Mexico, and that Baja California is one of the states that can benefit the most from the arrival of new investments.

Later, Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard met with more than 20,000 supporters who gathered on the esplanade of the El Trompo Museum. He was accompanied by Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero, who thanked the Foreign Secretary for his work in promoting the border city, such as the Otay Mesa port of entry expansion, among other actions.
