Today in New York, Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu attended an event with U.S. investors organized by the Mexican Finance Ministry in conjunction with the BlackRock corporation.

At the U.N., the Foreign Secretary accompanied President Enrique Peña at the Leaders' Summit on Refugees hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama, and co-hosted by President Peña. The Summit was convened to seek contributions in support of the world’s refugees and to sign the New York Declaration:

The General Debate of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly was held in the afternoon, where President Peña Nieto presented Mexico’s foreign policy and multilateral priorities. In his remarks, the president said that Mexico is committed to promoting the 2030 Agenda at the regional level and will work actively to put together agreements on migration and refugees.
