Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu visited the consular section of the Mexican embassy in the United States to launch the first phase of issuing the new Mexican passport abroad. She and other officials supervised the process of issuing the new passport and personally presented the first ones to their owners. Mexico’s ambassador in the U.S., Miguel Basáñez, and the Undersecretary for North America, Carlos Pérez Verdía were also present.

WASHINGTON AGENDA

 This afternoon, Foreign Secretary Ruiz Massieu will meet with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss the agenda of the next Summit of North America, to be held early next year, as well as various trilateral issues between Mexico, the United States and Canada.
