A naturalization ceremony was held at the Foreign Ministry at which new Mexican citizens took an oath of allegiance and received their naturalization certificates.
Foreign Ministry officials greeted the participants on behalf of Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu and invited them to contribute—with their cultural backgrounds—to Mexico’s multiculturalism.
During the ceremony, the charter of principles and values of those acquiring Mexican nationality, including equality, inclusion, identity, commitment, respect for diversity, fairness and non-discrimination was read to the new citizens.
