While in Milwaukee, Foreign Secretary Ruiz Massieu attended a meeting on business participation and economic development and met with Wisconsin’s U.S. senators and representatives to discuss the contributions made by Mexicans to the state.
Wisconsin business leaders, Mexican business executives with operations in the region and organizations involved in the state’s economy and trade attended the meeting on development.
At the inauguration of the Mexican consulate in Milwaukee, the Foreign Secretary said that Mexico has the world's largest consular network, with 50 consulates in the United States alone.
In the afternoon, there will be a working lunch with community leaders and Ohtli Awards will be given out.
