The Foreign Secretary will meet with various government officials, including Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Gerd Müller.
She will also meet with parliamentary deputies, business executives, the media and opinion leaders. One of the key issues to be discussed is the Dual Year 2016-2017, which seeks to increase mutual understanding, deepen cooperation and enhance the exchange between our societies, while strengthening the political dialogue.
The Foreign Secretary met with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on September 29, 2015, during the 70th UN General Assembly and welcomed the excellent level of political dialogue that was demonstrated at the first meeting of the Mexico-Germany Binational Commission in June 2015.
The establishment of this commission has been a major step in strengthening the bilateral relationship. The Mexican government is very interested in promoting the German model of "dual education" in Mexico.
