President Enrique Peña Nieto inaugurated the 47th OAS General Assembly this afternoon in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
This year's theme is "Strengthening Dialogue and Concertation for Prosperity." Foreign Ministers and high-level representatives from the 34 OAS member States will meet to discuss inter-American priority issues, exchange views on the regional situation and agree on a 2017-2018 roadmap.
Mexico reaffirms its confidence in and commitment to multilateralism and the OAS as essential for facing the major global and regional challenges.
