Financial Education Week is an annual program of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad that is organized in coordination with Mexico's consular network in North America.

It is supported by public and private institutions in Mexico, the United States and Canada that offer workshops on access to financial services, business development and basic personal and family financial management.

It is held each year in March and April to improve the financial knowledge and skills of Mexican migrants so that they can make informed decisions about how to manage their financial resources. Locally, Mexico’s consular network in North America promotes participation in community and institutional events during Financial Education Week.

The IME coordinates the participation of Mexican institutions, while Mexico’s embassies in the United States and Canada seek the participation of national institutions there and the consulates coordinate the participation of local partners in fairs, workshops, seminars and community events that are continued throughout the year.
