During the month of December, the Matías Romero Institute’s Twitter account showcases “Women in Diplomacy” in celebration of the contributions and successes of the women of Mexico and the world in diplomatic circles. In a field that is often associated with masculine traits, women’s achievements and leadership are especially significant.

Using computer graphics, data, video and articles on women in international politics, our campaign pays tribute to outstanding women diplomats and shines a light on the importance of advancing the agenda of gender equality in this area of public policy. As in all other areas of human endeavor, the active participation of women and the incorporation of a woman’s perspective cannot but enrich decision-making and the results achieved.
