Migration is one of the most important global issues of the 21st century. Mexico is facing this challenge with responsibility and is taking actions that require comprehensive and multidimensional efforts. In the near future, Mexican migrant women will be able to receive medical care in cases of violence and other situations in Mexico’s 67 consulates abroad.

This service will provide several types of care for women, including cases of violence, health care and family care. This is due to the fact that migrant women, because of their vulnerability, require specialized help.

Mexico accepts its responsibility and is working to build a global and regional vision based on human rights, shared responsibility and an appreciation for the contributions of the people who leave their hometowns to seek new opportunities. For this reason, it has created the Open Door Program and will provide medical care at its consulates.
