The Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, attended the ceremony where Humberto Lozano Aviles, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City (Canaco) took on oath under protest, to whom he called him "to join the efforts of the Biennial Program of Regulatory Improvement of the Government of the Republic, in order to build together the national agenda for business facilitation".

The event was attended by Miguel Ángel Mancera, Head of Government of the Federal District; Enrique Solana, President of the National Confederation of Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CONCANACO-SERVYTUR); Ricardo Navarro Benítez, outgoing President of the Canaco-Mexico City; and Gerardo Gutiérrez Candiani, President of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE, by its initials in Spanish); Edgar Elías Azar, President of the Superior Tribunal of Justice of the Federal District (TSJDF, by its initials in Spanish), ambassadors and members of business organizations.

During the ceremony of oath under protest of Humberto Lozano Avilés as President of the Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, Secretary of Economy, said that "we have intended to reduce, by two years, by one percentage point of Gross Domestic Product, the regulatory burden, which represents obstacles for businessmen and their businesses." The Secretary of Economy said that there´s a joint effort with the Government of the Federal District to potentiate the resources of the National Institute of the Entrepreneur (INADEM) that they are invested in the city, where four programs have been launched for the benefit of entrepreneurs.

The Head of Economy also declared that "Mexico City has a very important part in the international indicators; so we are working closely with the Head of Government, to build strategies of regulatory improvement".
