The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, presided over the announcement of investment of US 2,275 million from the Constellation Brands company, which will expand its beer plant and production of glass bottles in the municipality of Nava, Coahuila. This event was attended by the secretaries of Economy (SE), Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal; Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), Luis Videgaray Caso; Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA, all acronyms in Spanish), Enrique Martinez and Martinez; and the US Ambassador in Mexico, Anthony Wayne, the President and CEO of Constellation Brands, Rob Sands; the Coahuila Governor, Rubén Moreira Valdez; and the Mayor Ana Gabriela Fernández Osuna.

The Secretary of Economy, said that "so far in 2015, we have been announced investments in the brewing industry in Mexico, equivalent to 46 billion pesos." He also said that "Mexico is a major competitor in the world and through the trade liberalization we will continue reaping much success as we all celebrate this one, with the enlargement of Constellation Brands in Mexico".

The expansion of the brewing plant will generate 2,500 direct jobs and 700 indirect jobs.
