Like those who expect the visit of an esteemed colleague and friend, they received Mexico´s Minister of Health, Jose Narro Robles, at the Breast Cancer Foundation (FUCAM).
The visit that Jose Narro made was to inaugurate the Second International Congress of News in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer, organized by FUCAM and performed for the first time in its facilities.
Upon arrival, the founder and president of FUCAM, Fernando Guisa, and his medical director, Sergio Rodríguez, were warmly welcomed. They accompanied him to the "Taberna Libraria" Library, where after giving him the Dictionary of Medical Terms of the Greek Root of Dr. Jesus Guisa and Azevedo, he signed the book of distinguished visits with a message in which, in his hand recorded his recognition of the Foundation for being heiress of humanism and, day by day, "Helping those who need it."
For Jose Narro the sense of the human in medical care should not be lost. The treatment of person to person, from who knows to who needs it, must prevail. And it is precisely this human treatment that characterizes FUCAM; Hence it is the provider that most cases of breast cancer attend for the Popular Insurance: 1 in 5 between 2013 and 2016, he explained.
According to the foundation itself, in 2016 they performed 13 thousand 500 chemotherapies, 5 thousand x-ray studies, 9 thousand radiotherapies, 1,500 hospital admissions, 30 thousand breast ultrasounds, 1,400 surgeries, in addition to 54 thousand 682 mammography studies within FUCAM and mobile units.
Following his inaugural message at the Second International Congress on Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment, and grateful for the invitation, the Minister of Health finally made a tour in FUCAM's facilities, where he learned the areas of radiology, chemotherapy and Imaging.
