·        President Enrique Peña Nieto invited her to visit the official residence of Los Pinos.

At the invitation of President Enrique Peña Nieto, the young Yucatecan Fátima Chay Chi traveled to Mexico City aboard the José María Morelos y Pavón TP01 plane to fulfill her wish to visit the country’s capital and the official residence of Los Pinos, where she was also received by Mrs. Angélica Rivera de Peña.

The teenager told the president of her desire to do this at the event where the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples and the Indigenous Heritage Foundation Mx, chaired by Spanish singer Miguel Bosé, signed a Collaboration Agreement to support the country’s indigenous children and youth.

Fátima Chay told the president that she did not know Mexico City and had never traveled by plane, and expressed her desire to visit the official residence of Los Pinos. The young Yucatecan Chay Chi told the president of her aim of studying civil engineering and one day becoming mayor of Maxcanú, governor of Yucatán, “And why not, president.”

After the event, President Peña Nieto invited Fátima to travel with him back to Mexico City, together with her friend Laigxa Canul, and director of the “Cecilio Chi” Indigenous Children’s Home in Maxcanú, Yucatán Leticia Cuevas Ojeda. The three took a helicopter to Mérida airport. There, they were transferred to the presidential plane, on which they traveled to Mexico City.

On their arrival in the capital, the three guests boarded the helicopter in which the president was transported to the official residence of Los Pinos.

At the official residence, Mrs. Angélica Rivera de Peña welcomed the three guests, and chatted with them for several minutes.

The president showed them the various areas. During their tour, Fátima, Laigxa and the Director Leticia were accompanied by Koa, Paulina Peña Pretelini, the president’s daughter’s dog.
