Presidents of Chile, Michelle Bachelet Jeria; Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón; Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto; and Peru, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski Godard, met virtually on March 6, 2018.
They discussed the objectives of the Pacific Alliance’s Strategic Vision for 2030, the year when the tariff liberalization of 100% of goods between the four countries is expected.
Progress in the negotiations with the four candidates for Associated States of the Alliance, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore, was reviewed.
- The first two rounds of negotiations with these countries have already concluded and the third will end this week.
The XIII Summit of the Pacific Alliance will be held in Mexico, on July 24 and 25, 2018.
The presidents issued the Presidential Declaration of the Pacific Alliance, containing the commitments acquired in the virtual meeting and established the Pro Tempore Presidency of Peru for the period 2018-2019.
