As part of the Comprehensive Financial Education Week for Mexicans Abroad, Financiera para el Bienestar (FINABIEN) and the Instituto de Mexicanas y Mexicanos en el Exterior (IMME), renewed a collaboration agreement so that our fellow Mexicans in the United States can learn about FINABIEN services, as well as continue with the training provided by the operating personnel of the Financial Advice Windows (VAF) of the IMME in Mexican consulates.

In addition, a round table discussion was held on “Prevention and Protection of the Assets of the Mexican Community Residing Abroad and Returning”. The general director of Financiera para el Bienestar, Rocio Mejia Flores, said that many Mexican citizens do not have documents to open a bank account in the United States, therefore, the FINABIEN card is an excellent option to obtain an account that allows them to send money from the United States to their relatives in Mexico. He emphasized that it is not necessary to make appointments to open this financial instrument at the different consulates.
