On December 1, all Mexicans are invited by the next president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to visit the official residence of Los Pinos, which opens its doors to the public as a new venue for culture and leisure.

On the occasion of the inauguration ceremony, the general public are invited to visit Los Pinos from 10 o'clock in the morning through door 1, located in Parque Lira, as well as door 3 from Bosque de Chapultepec.

Mexicans will have access to the "Miguel Alemán", "López Mateos", "Miguel de la Madrid", "Venustiano Carranza" and "Lázaro Cárdenas" houses.

As part of the opening ceremony, the Secretariat of Culture of the new administration will host a program with various concerts by musical groups from all over the country, as well as the Carlos Chávez Orchestra, on the Francisco I. Madero esplanade.

In the La Hondonada garden, screens will be set up to watch the inauguration ceremony of Andrés Manuel López Obrador live, as well as the cultural celebration to mark the start of the Fourth Transformation, to be held in the main square of the capital, El Zócalo.

Avenida Molino del Rey will have pedestrian access once again. Guided tours of all the facilities will be available at Gate 3.

The Los Pinos Cultural Complex will be the responsibility of the Secretariat of Culture as of December 1st. Personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) will be responsible for guarding the premises.

Los Pinos encompasses an area of 56,000 square meters, fourteen times larger than the White House in the United States. In addition to the presidential residence there are two office buildings, as well as the Presidential General Staff (EMP) facilities; these areas will remain closed to the public.

Visiting hours will be from 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Sunday.
