The president announced the news on his Twitter
account:
“Mission accomplished: we’ve got him. I would like to inform Mexicans that Joaquín Guzmán Loera has been arrested”:
In a second tweet, the president thanked the government's Security Cabinet:
“I would like to thank the government’s Security Cabinet for this important achievement for the benefit of the rule of law in Mexico.”
