The 5 principal focal points of the fourth annual report are:

  1. Quality education
  2. A prosperous Mexico
  3. An inclusive Mexico
  4. A Mexico at peace
  5. A Mexico with global responsibility

In its foreign policy, Mexico has consolidated its position as a responsible actor that strengthens its global presence in order to create more opportunities for Mexicans; that participates actively in facing the challenges of our time; that protects Mexicans abroad and implements a policy designed to ensure safe and orderly migration.

Some of the most important achievements include the network of trade and investment agreements that increase our exports, promote competition in the domestic market and contribute to the development of human capital. Mexico has 12 free trade agreements, agreements with 46 countries, 32 investment agreements, six economic complementation agreements and three partial agreements.

The Pacific Alliance deserves special mention as it represents Latin America’s largest integrated trade group and is a model at the forefront of promoting economic growth. On May 1, 2016, the Additional Protocol to the Framework Agreement of the Pacific Alliance came into force.
