Today, the Attorney General's Office and the Interior and Foreign Ministries met for the second time with the Special Follow-up Mechanism of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) related to the precautionary measures granted in favor of the 43 students of the Raúl Isidro Burgos Rural Teachers’ College in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.

At this second follow-up meeting, updated information was provided to the IACHR on the actions of the Attorney General's Office, headed by the Deputy Attorney General for Human Rights, Crime Prevention and Community Services, Sara Irene Herrerías Guerra.

They reported on the progress made by the ministerial investigation being carried out to exhaust all lines of investigation, including those proposed by the IACHR's Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI).

For its part, the Interior Ministry, in collaboration with the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims and the Health Ministry, presented the significant progress made in attention to victims, highlighting the assistance and follow-up received by the individuals injured on the date of the events and their families.

The Mexican government reiterates its commitment to resolving the case.
