While in Kuwait, the President met with Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim; Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait; and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait to sign bilateral agreements and memoranda on:

- Academic-Diplomatic Collaboration
- Tourism
- Energy
- Higher education
The president announced that Tenaris Tamsa, a Mexican company that makes steel tubes, signed a contract with Kuwait Oil Company and will invest USD 150 million in Kuwait. This investment means jobs in Mexico and will increase bilateral trade nearly fourfold.
