The bilateral relationship between Mexico and Germany will undoubtedly be strengthened in 2016.

President Peña Nieto’s State Visit to Germany kicked off the Dual Year, which seeks to strengthen political, economic and cultural cooperation and achieve the two countries’ shared goals in the multilateral arena.

Throughout the 137 years of their diplomatic relations, both countries have experienced changes that have given rise to the modern economies and commercial dynamism they have today.

The Dual Year is a strategic project for joint cooperation through which Mexico is promoted in Germany and Germany is promoted in Mexico.

As part of this celebration, we would like to share a timeline of the most important moments of the relationship with you. Visit this page to see a timeline (in Spanish): http://www.gob.mx/sre/articulos/conoces-la-historia-de-la-relacion-entre-mexico-y-alemania
