During his trip to Spain, Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray was received today in the Zarzuela Palace by His Majesty King Felipe VI.

The King mentioned the State visit he made to Mexico with Her Majesty Queen Letizia in 2015 and expressed his appreciation for the strong ties that unite Spain and Mexico.

Foreign Secretary Videgaray reiterated Mexico’s commitment to continue strengthening its bilateral, Ibero-American, biregional and multilateral collaboration with Spain.

They welcomed the broad range of activities that are taking place in both countries to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Spain.

King Felipe VI and Foreign Secretary Videgaray recalled the fraternal ties that historically have characterized the bilateral relationship and they agreed that the political dialogue, economic exchanges and cooperation in areas that benefit the societies of both countries were all excellent at this time.
