Foreign Secretary Claudia Ruiz Massieu took part in the Forbes Mexico Powerful Women Leaders Forum 3.0. In her speech, the Foreign Secretary stressed the need to invest in empowering women in the long term so that they can be agents of change. She also said that no country that wants to succeed can afford to waste the talent of its women.
Lakshmi Puri from UN Women said that "when women take decisions, more inclusive decisions are adopted." The Forum seeks to make ideas and experiences into best practices for the empowerment of all individuals. More than 300 influential women from Mexico and Latin America participated in the forum.
